well...I'm not a gorilla for sure.

*sigh*

I spent the day blocking and seaming this gorgeous cardigan only to discover that even though I tried to take into account the fact that I have freakishly short arms, the edges of the sleeves are still brushing the tips of my fingers. Why is it that designers assume that if you're large in the chest that you must also be proportionally longer and taller? This sweater would fit wonderfully if I was 6'3".

I'm not.

I'm going to have to unseam one side, detach the arms, rip them all the way back to the cuff, take out a repeat of one lace pattern, shorten the other lace pattern, re-calculate the increases (and figure out how to make the sleeve a tad wider...my arms are also a tad fluffier than the pattern allows for), reknit both sleeves, reblock them, and then reattach.

I'll admit, I'm no process knitter, and though I know that this might fill some knitters with a sense of glee...more processing....I just see another couple of week's work to get back to where I am now.

I'm throwing the whole damn thing into the corner and I'm going to relieve my need to tear people's heads off by watching the third installment of the Underworld flicks.
